Homosociality

With today's nationwide rioting and protests, I'm wondering how many institutions, such as the military, police academies, and political spheres, promote homosociality. "Male-male social relationships have a substantial influence on the sexual relations of some young heterosexual men," according to Flood (2008). For certain men, male-male friendships are more essential than male-female friendships, and the rate at which sexual masculinity is used to gain status is another homosociality link. The medium of sexuality in most male-male interactions is male bonding. If we pay great attention to our society and language, we may see these tendencies.
